Weapons are an optional add-on that can be used in conjunction with commanders for PvP in CryptoVillages. In addition to providing troop-specific stats, higher rarity weapons may also confer an additional spell to the two available from the commander. Weapons are considerably rarer than commanders, with only 4,000 available for mint, compared to the 10,000 commanders. Unlike commanders that are split into Righteous or Fallen, weapons are not categorized, and any weapon may be used by any commander.
Because of the fact that weapons can be used by either faction, this means that the weapons conferred by weapons are neutral and fall under their own class, summons. These spells summon one of the world bosses to wreck havoc on the enemy forces.
Similar to commanders, weapons are divided up into five rarities (uncommon, rare, epic, legendary, mythical) with these categories all containing unique weapon-types. However, weapons are unique from commanders through their increased variations, each of which offers bonuses to unique troop-subsets. The following table provides rough overviews of each weapon type, the bonuses they confer and their rarities:
Weapons require a commander to be used and cannot be equipped in PvP individually. Please factor this into your decision making when minting a weapon or buying one on our secondary marketplace.
Weapons with a rarity of Rare or higher provide the commander with an extra spell, which summons the spirit of one of the Player VS Monster world bosses. Each rarity correlates to a specific boss, as seen below:
